Axio AI Wins WGU Labs’ Annual Pitch Competition to Drive the New OS for Next-Gen Learners
Apr 9, 2025
We’re excited to share that Axio AI has been named the winner of WGU Labs’ Second Annual Accelerator Pitch Competition — a national event recognizing the most innovative startups shaping the future of education and workforce readiness. Hosted at the 2025 ASU+GSV Summit, the competition brought together more than 160 startups tackling some of the biggest challenges in education. After being selected as one of just five finalists back in March, we had the incredible opportunity to pitch our vision in front of industry leaders, investors, and educators.
“Axio stood out for its innovative AI-powered platform that enhances both the administrative and pedagogical aspects of education and training, demonstrating the power of AI to transform education and workforce readiness.”
— Jason Levin, Executive Director, WGU Labs
Winning first place comes with a $100,000 cash investment, $50,000 in services from the WGU Labs Accelerator, and a paid pilot with WGU valued up to $50,000 — doubling the total award package from last year. This recognition is a powerful validation of the work we’re doing to make education more accessible, efficient, and human-centered. A huge thank you to WGU Labs, the judges, and all the amazing teams that participated — and to our partners and users who continue to inspire us. We’re just getting started.
