Context

Online Courses Still Run on Read, Watch, Quiz

Most online courses follow the same pattern: read the module, watch the lecture, take the quiz. A quiz score shows what a student got right. It rarely shows how they're thinking, and in an online course of any size, faculty can't ask every student the follow-up question that would.

Belhaven University's pilot built that follow-up question into the course itself, through dialogue its faculty direct. This session looks at what changed for students and faculty when they did.

For the broader argument, read We digitized delivery. We did not redesign learning.
